Welcome to Queer Neurodivergents and Alternatives {QNDA}. We are a volunteer-run 18+ social “support” group for people under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella and have a history/experience with being Neurodivergent or with mental health conditions. We are based in London and aim to create and provide a warm, welcoming, safe space where you can relax, connect and have fun with like-minded people without the worry of being judged. This also includes getting loose support from others who may understand what you're going through.

Breaking down our name. “Queer” is used to cover the LGBTQIA+ Umbrella. “Neurodivergents” covers anyone who is or suspects they may be neurodivergent with Autism or ADD/ADHD. “Alternatives” covers anyone who has a mental health history or just feels they don’t fit into the “Society Norm”. No formal diagnoses are required to be part of this space, we try to cover a range of experiences, including but not limited to:
-
Personality disorders such as DID and BPD
-
Depression
-
OCD
-
Vibe differences such as emo, goth, and wiccan.
If you have ever felt like you don't quite fit in at a traditional queer or neurotypical event, you're most likely in the right place with us.
Our events will have friendly hosts, most of the time wearing QNDA badges with the Group’s logo and their names on so that you can easily reach out to them for any help or support (within their ability). If you have any needs that we may be able to help support/accommodate, please feel free to contact us ahead of an event, and we will do our best to help, this could include checking in with you during events to ensure you're doing okay, if you want us to.
We aim to keep things simple and positive, our rules/guidelines focus on kindness and compassion. If someone points out that your words or actions are making them uncomfortable, please take a moment to adjust. If you need to stim or self-soothe, go ahead, your comfort comes first. We also prioritise choosing venues that are accessible for neurodivergent individuals and those who use mobility aids and wheelchairs. We’re always on the lookout for affordable spots since we know not everyone has the same financial income. All venue suggestions are welcome (we will always double-check accessibility ourselves, so don’t worry too much if you're unsure on that side of things).
Your experience matters to us, and we love it when people spread the word about our events, so if you have a great time, please do tag us in selfies or other photos on Social Media. Whether it's a group shot (with people's consent) or snapshots of creations during our relaxed activities events, we’d love to see them. If you have a suggestion for events you want to be held or venues you’d like to see used, please do suggest them through our contact page or put it on an anonymous feedback form (you can make it un-anonymous). Filling out our feedback forms helps us tailor our events to people's needs and adjust where needed if things need to be tightened up.
We can’t wait to see you at our next event - come join us for a fun, relaxed time.
